Elmo's Story

Elmo's parents: Caresse van Rietnisse - Figo van Rietnisse

On New Year's day 2007, Elmo came into our lives. He's the 7th German Shepherd for Marc and a very special boy with an excellent temperament. Being a grandson from Troll vom Haus Melinda, we knew training him was going to be a challlenge. An extremely high ball drive was present since he was born, at the age of 8 weeks he was ready to rule the world. His dedication turned him into a really good working dog. His courage and stability make him the ideal pack leader for our other dogs, not one of them ever doubted Elmo's leadership. He restores peace when needed and learned his red friends not to be scared of firework.

The meaning of his name is "Protector" and this is his daily job. He believes he's still a puppy, but we are giving him some well deserved rest. To keep him mentally satisfied, Marc and Elmo are active in tracking and obedience work.

Elmo is retired and no part of our breeding program.
