CHIBI
Chibi is our little fighter. Born with a severe hip fracture, she went through multiple surgeries and ultimately an FHO as a last resort. Despite everything, she never lost her spark. Resilient, full of spirit, and just a little bit cheeky, Chibi has a big heart to fill. She is deeply caring, incredibly empathetic and has a special love for puppies. With her gentle soul and playful nature, Chibi is proof that strength comes in the smallest packages.
RIVERTAILS WOW XANADU REEF
First Born, Forever Brave
Chibi, the tiny firstborn puppy of our Emi & Kitsu 2.0 WoW Litter, entered the world as one of three special puppies. With her 212 grams she is the smallest of the trio, though she quickly proved to be truly a golden girl. Born with challenges, that will hold her back for a lifetime, Chibi’s spirit remains unshaken. She is our most loyal supporter, always by our side with unwavering love and quiet strength. Small but fierce, sweet yet determined – Chibi may not run the courses, but she runs our hearts.
Small but Unstoppable
She may be small but she is endlessly tenacious. Every week we explore which sports are still possible for her despite her injury – her calendar filled with rehab sessions, balance games, conditioning and strengthening to keep her sharp. We test out new activities together like hoopers, obedience, dummy training and so much more that she can enjoy safely. And as if that isn’t enough, at home she is our little busy bee. She gently cares for the old and fragile, showing her passion and devotion every single day. She puts their needs before her own, faithfully and lovingly, day after day.
Xanadu Reef
-Chibi-
As this girl is really one of a kind, we decided to name her Xanadu on paper, living in an idyllic world full of beauty and magnificence.
Her nickname Chibi comes from the Japanese meaning little girl, as Chibi has always been our tiny princess with an amazing soul.
BREEDING PROGRAM
Chibi has a long rehab before we are thinking about other plans.
This Golden girl has a lot to offer, but let her first grow up and we will see what the future brings.
From whelping on, we knew something was up with our Little Golden Girl. After lots of tests, we found out Chibi had a traumatic hip fracture. After a failed attempt to give her a Total Hip Replacement, Chibi got another revision surgery to a Femoral Head Ostectomy, meaning our little girl is going through life without a hip joint.
Now after almost a year filled with surgeries, control check-ups and lots of physiotherapy, we can say Chibi is finally being able to be a ‘normal’ puppy. Off course Chibi her care will never end, so for the moment we have weekly visits to the UWTD and IMoove, spend hours training balance games to strengthen our little girl her body, muscles and pelvic area and give her regular hands-on manual therapy to reduce the negative effects the FHO has on her body.
